Top cryptocurrencies were weaker Tuesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) lower but holding above the $75,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell almost 2.1% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 1.8%, the S&P 500 added 0.7%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.2%.
Bitcoin fell 1.9% to $75,915, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume surged 63.7% to $35.2 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, fell 2.2% to $2,072.
XRP (XRP-USD) dropped 1.8%, BNB (BNB-USD) shed 0.8%, and Solana (SOL-USD) lost 2.1%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) dipped 1.5%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) shed 2.1%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.491% at 3 p.m. ET Tuesday, down from 4.558% Friday, while the five-year yield fell to 4.183% from 4.258%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 1.9% in the past 24 hours to $2.54 trillion, with trading volume declining 1.8% to $153.62 billion.
