Top cryptocurrencies were lower Thursday, with Bitcoin down but still holding above the $64,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell 1.3% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 lost 0.4%, the S&P 500 declined 0.2%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.9%.
Bitcoin fell 0.7% to $64,361, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume dropped 16.3% to $19.59 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, declined 0.6% to $1,906.
XRP (XRP-USD) lost 3.3%, BNB (BNB-USD) fell 1.7%, and Solana (SOL-USD) declined 2.2%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) dropped 2.2%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) surged 7.2%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 0.8% in the past 24 hours to $2.18 trillion, with trading volume declining 8.9% to $52.78 billion.
