Major digital assets were weaker Thursday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) dropping below the $64,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, dipped 3.1% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 fell 0.04%, the S&P 500 rose 0.4%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 1.8%.
Bitcoin fell 2.8% to $63,588, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 39% to $67.22 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, dropped 1.6% to $1,774.
XRP (XRP-USD) shed 2.6%, BNB (BNB-USD) lost 2.9%, and Solana (SOL-USD) decreased 4.2%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) fell 3.6%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) declined 9.4%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 2.3% in the past 24 hours to $2.22 trillion, with trading volume rising 22.7% to $155.41 billion.
