Top cryptocurrencies fell Wednesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) lower but holding above $61,000.
The Nasdaq 100 fell 1.7%, the S&P 500 declined 1.4%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 1.6%.
Bitcoin fell 0.3% to $61,875, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume fell 27.8% to $28.42 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, dropped 1.6% to $1,627.
XRP (XRP-USD) fell 3.9%, BNB (BNB-USD) shed 1.4%, and Solana (SOL-USD) lost 2.9%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) dropped 2.4%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) decreased 4.1%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.540% at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday, up from 4.524% Tuesday, while the five-year yield rose to 4.262% from 4.251%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 0.4% in the past 24 hours to $2.12 trillion, and trading volume decreasing 19.1% to $74.16 billion.
