Titijaya Land (KLSE:TITIJYA) said the Shah Alam High Court has granted its unit, Shah Alam City Centre, leave to proceed with a judicial review challenging a 9.6 million ringgit additional tax assessment imposed by Malaysia's Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
The court also extended an interim stay on enforcement of the assessment until the inter-partes hearing scheduled for Oct. 1, according to a Tuesday Malaysian bourse filing.
The dispute relates to the tax treatment of statutory compensation received under the Land Acquisition Act 1960 in December 2023.
Separately, SACC has also filed a Form Q appeal against the assessment with the IRB, the filing said.
