Energy sector data and intelligence company TGS (TGS.OL) said Wednesday it launched the second phase of the 3D survey offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
The survey, which uses pre-stack depth migration technology, aims to upgrade 13,300 square kilometers of seismic data across the exploration regions in the North Atlantic, according to a Wednesday release.
The project is supported by industry funding. Initial results are expected in 2027, while the final migrated volumes will be released in the third quarter of 2027.
