Taiwan's game software industry saw its revenue rise by nearly 50% from NT$47.7 billion in 2020 to NT$71 billion in 2025, the Ministry of Finance said Tuesday.
The boom was driven by the stay-at-home economy and digital leisure, which led to a rise in online and mobile games.
The video games industry saw its revenue rise even as the number of companies operating in the space remained stable between 1,114 and 1,149, the ministry said.
