Taiwan's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 3.32% in May, according to data from the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics released Tuesday.
The reading was lower than the consensus forecast of 3.4% tracked by Trading Economics and compared with the 3.34% rate recorded in the previous month.
The total number of unemployed persons edged down by 0.99% or by 4,000 month over month to 393,000, while the number of employed persons grew by 0.02% or by 2,000 to 11.6 million.
Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate edged down by 0.02 percentage points to 59.5% compared with the prior month.
