Taiwan's gross domestic product expanded 12.92% year over year in the second quarter of 2026, according to advance estimates released by the National Statistics Republic of China (Taiwan) on Friday.
The reading beat the 10.80% consensus forecast tracked by Investing.com but slowed from the 14.55% growth recorded in the first quarter.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the economy expanded 2.39% from the previous quarter and 9.91% on a quarter-on-quarter seasonally adjusted annualized basis (SAAR).
