Taiwan's current account registered a surplus of $58.49 billion in the second quarter of 2026, according to data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) Thursday.
The reading compared with a $62.53 billion surplus in the prior quarter and missed the forecast of $65 billion tracked by Trading Economics.
The goods trade surplus stood at $52.76 billion in the second quarter, compared with $58.01 billion in the first quarter, while the services account deficit was $2.53 billion, versus $3.42 billion previously.
