The Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) voted to maintain its benchmark discount rate at 2% at the conclusion of its quarterly monetary policy meeting Thursday.
The decision matched the consensus forecast tracked by Investing.com.
The policy board noted that the domestic economic growth in the first half stood at 14.15%, an improvement from expectations.
The central bank forecasted an economic growth rate of 9.09% for the second half and 11.48% for the whole year.
The bank revised its CPI and core CPI annual growth rate forecast to 2.03% and 2.16%, respectively.
