Switzerland's annual inflation rate stood at 0.8% in August, up from 0.4% in the previous month, according to data from the country's Federal Statistical Office published Thursday.
The consensus estimate for the month was 0.5%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices were 0.4% higher, compared with the expected zero growth and the prior month's 0.1% drop.
