Super Copper (CUPR.CN) started diamond drilling at its Cordillera Cobre Project in the Atacama Region of Chile, it said Thursday.
The company expects the maiden Phase 1 program to include up to 15 diamond drill holes totaling approximately 5,000 meters, focused on the El Alto target, it said.
"Our maiden program is off to an excellent start, the rig is advancing around the clock at approximately 50 metres per day, the first core is already in hand, and our geological team is logging it as it comes out of the ground," said Chief Executive Officer Zachary Dolesky.
