Suncor Q2 Adjusted Earnings Top Estimates as Free Funds Flow Hits Record

Suncor Energy (SU.TO) reported Q2 adjusted operating earnings of C$3.23 per share compared with C$0.71 per share in the prior-year period. The results topped the consensus among analysts polled by FactSet for C$3.04.

Adjusted funds from operations totaled C$5.33 billion, or C$4.52 per share, compared with C$2.69 billion, or C$2.20 per share, in the prior-year period, the company said after the market close on Tuesday.

Free funds flow totaled C$4.0 billion, while free funds flow per share reached a record C$3.38, more than quadrupling from the year-earlier period.
