Starts Proceed Investment to Sell Tokyo Residential Asset for $8.2 Million

Starts Proceed Investment (TYO:8979) will sell the Proceed Nishikasai residential property in Tokyo for 1.18 billion yen in October as part of its asset replacement strategy, according to a Thursday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The REIT expects to record a disposal gain of about 210 million yen from the sale of the two-building rental housing asset, which is about 32 to 40 years old.

The buyer was not disclosed. Starts Proceed said it decided to proceed with the sale after considering rising maintenance and repair costs over the medium to long term.

The property, located near Nishikasai Station in Tokyo's Edogawa ward, had an occupancy rate of 94.2% as of Oct. 31, 2025.

China to Issue Treasury Bonds Amounting to 84 Billion Yuan in Hong Kong

China's Ministry of Finance plans to issue 84 billion yuan in treasury bonds in Hong Kong this year, the ministry said in a Wednesday disclosure.The renminbi-denominated treasury bonds in Hong Kong for this year are higher than the 68 billion yuan issued a year earlier, Xinhua reported on the same day.The bonds for this year will be issued in six tranches, with the first two amounting to 29.5 billion yuan already issued in February and April, according to the ministry.
