Standard Lithium (SLI.V) said on Thursday a kilogram of its battery-quality lithium carbonate used by Nano One Materials (NANO.TO) in its batteries delivered 155 milliampere-hours per gram.
The reading was achieved on first discharge in initial electrochemical testing, a statement said. Nano Materials used the lithium carbonate to manufacture lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active material and battery cells in North America.
The lithium carbonate was produced from Standard Lithium's South West Arkansas project.
"We have spent years testing and developing an integrated process flowsheet designed to produce a high-quality lithium product to meet the stringent needs of the battery industry. Our recent work alongside Nano One provides some exciting additional real-world validation of the work we have done," said Chief Operating Officer Andy Robinson.
Standard Lithium shares were last seen down C$0.08 to C$3.31 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
