Spain's quarterly gross domestic product growth accelerated to 0.7% in the second quarter, from 0.6% in the prior three-month period, preliminary data from the National Statistics Institute showed Thursday.
The consensus estimate for the period was a 0.6% gain.
Annually, the Spanish economy grew 2.7%, consistent with the prior reading and against market expectations of a 2.5% rise.
