South Korea's export prices surged 46.9% year over year in May, according to preliminary data released by the Bank of Korea on Tuesday.
The pace of growth accelerated from the revised 41.3% increase recorded in the previous month.
The movement in the index was driven primarily by a faster jump in export prices of agricultural, forestry and marine products, as well as manufacturing products.
On a month-over-month basis, export prices edged up 0.3%, easing from the 7.5% growth the previous month.
