South Korea's export prices surged 49.1% year over year in July, according to preliminary data released by the Bank of Korea on Friday.
The pace of growth accelerated/decelerated from the revised 48.7% increase recorded in the previous month.
On a month-over-month basis, export prices edged up 1.0%, improving from the flat movement in the preceding month.
Meanwhile, import prices rose 18.7% from a year earlier, compared with a revised 20.9% expansion in the prior month.
On a month-over-month basis, import prices declined 1%, softer than the 4.2% drop previously.
