Sonoro Gold (SGO.V) said Wednesday it acquired additional mineral concessions adjacent to its Cerro Caliche gold project in Mexico.
The acquisitions were first announced last May, where Sonoro signed letters of intent to acquire 23 mineral concessions and up to a 51% interest in five additional mineral concessions.
"The recent expansions at Cerro Caliche provide us with the potential to materially enhance the scope and scale of the project. Our current 50,000 metre drilling program is focused on potentially increasing the size, grade and classification of the project's mineral resource, as well as investigating the expected continuation of the mineralized corridors into these new concessions," said Chief Executive Kenneth MacLeod.
Sonoro Gold shares were last seen unchanged at C$0.215 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
