Sirios Resources (SOI.V) has secured all required permits to execute phase one of its drilling campaign at the Cheechoo gold deposit in Quebec, the company said Tuesday.
The first 25,000-meter drilling phase at Cheechoo has started with the mobilization of two drill rigs. A third drill rig will be added at the end of June, the company said.
Sirios team is also mobilizing a Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy unit to analyze drill core samples directly on site, improve the accuracy of core logging, and enhance the understanding of the deposit and its metallurgy.
The company will also review existing core samples in addition to the drill cores generated during the summer campaign.
Sirios has also confirmed the completion of a helicopter-borne magnetic survey at the Fagnant gold project.
