Singapore shares incurred losses on Tuesday, tracking broader regional losses as oil prices climbed due to continuous geopolitical tensions.
The Straits Times Index (STI), a key benchmark for the Singapore Exchange, ranged between 5,694.39 and 5,770.33 throughout the day. It ended the session at 5,710.37, down 44.99 points or 0.8% compared to Monday's close.
On the corporate front, shares of Hong Leong Asia (SGX:H22) closed nearly 2% higher as unit Guangxi Yuchai Marine and Genset Power has renewed its application to list on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Exchange.
Keppel DC REIT (SGX:AJBU) has agreed to acquire an 88.62% effective stake in two freehold hyperscale data centers in Inzai City, Japan, from unrelated third-party sellers.
Meanwhile, Vibrant Group (SGX:BIP) has acquired a 60% stake in Fair Breeze Trading for around SG$7.7 million.
