Sienna Senior Living Says Morningstar DBRS Confirms an Investment-Grade Rating on its Debt

Sienna Senior Living (SIA.TO) on Friday said rating agency Morningstar DBRS confirmed a "BBB" rating as the company's issuer rating, while the ratings on its senior unsecured debentures is also confirmed at "Stable".

"The confirmation of Sienna's BBB credit rating reflects the strength of our operating platform and balance sheet, and the consistent execution of our growth strategy. During a period of compelling fundamentals for the Canadian senior living sector, maintaining an investment-grade rating allows us to access capital on attractive terms as we continue to scale our platform," Chief Executive Nitin Jain said in a release.

Huatai Securities' (SHA:601688, HKG:6886) unit, Huatai International Finance, will receive guarantee worth $75 million for the issuance of two tranches of medium-term bonds, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Friday.The bonds respectively amount to $55 million and $20 million.Another subsidiary of the Chinese securities company, Huatai International Financial Holding, will provide the guarantee.The issuance is part of a $3 billion offshore medium-term bond program that was launched in October 2020.The company's Shanghai and Hong Kong shares both fell 2% during the morning trade.
