Shionogi Secures Approval for Pediatric Dosage of COVID-19 Drug Xocova in Japan

Shionogi & Co. (TYO:4507) said it secured supplemental approval for the pediatric dosage and administration of its Xocova drug for the treatment of COVID-19 in Japan, according to a Friday release.

The Japan-based pharmaceutical company said that the approval expands the drug's usage among pediatric patients aged 6 to under 12 years who weigh at least 20 kilograms.

The approval also covers a new 25-milligram tablet and follows results from a Phase 3 clinical trial involving 117 children in Japan.

Teco Electric and Machinery (TPE:1504) TECNOS International Consulting acquired the right to use office space in Taipei, Taiwan, for NT$22.4 million, according to a Thursday Taiwan Exchange filing.Shares gained about 2% in Friday's late morning trade.The assets will be purchased from related party Tong-An Assets Development & Management.The lease term runs from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2032, and the office space will be used to meet operational requirements.
