Applied Materials (AMAT) is seeing stronger long-term visibility into semiconductor equipment demand as major chipmakers share production plans extending well beyond 2027, Nikkei Asia reported, citing CEO Gary Dickerson. Shares of Applied Materials were up more than 8% premarket.
Texas Instruments' (TXN) proposed acquisition of Silicon Laboratories (SLAB) is subject to public feedback as requested by the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore, the regulator said. Texas Instruments stock was up more than 3% pre-bell.
IBM (IBM) updated its artificial intelligence development system Bob to introduce multi-agent features and automated legacy system modernization workflows, the company said. IBM shares were down 5% premarket.
