Financial stocks were advancing pre-bell Friday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) 1.3% higher.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 3.4% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 3.7% lower.
UBS Group (UBS) has accepted $7.93 billion aggregate principal amount of notes in its cash tender offers for nine series of debt securities and upsized its maximum offer amount to about $5.85 billion from $4 billion, the company said. Shares of UBS Group were up more than 1% premarket.
Blackstone (BX) intends to purchase many more tensor processing units from Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) unit Google than initially outlined, The Information reported, citing a person familiar with the matter. Blackstone stock was 0.7% higher pre-bell.
Thomson Reuters (TRI) priced a US public offering by its subsidiary, TR Finance, of $800 million of 5.1% notes due 2028 and $500 million of 5.750% notes due 2033. Thomson Reuters shares were up more than 1% premarket.
