Energy stocks were declining premarket Friday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) 0.8% lower.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 1.3% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 1% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.8% lower at $76.68 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil fell 1.1% to $81.60 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 0.4% at $2.65 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Plains All American Pipeline (PAA) stock was down 0.1% even after the company posted higher Q2 adjusted net income and revenue.
