SDIC Power Brings Unit 4 of Qinzhou Power Plant Phase III Online

SDIC Power Holdings (SHA:600886) said Unit 4 of the third phase of its Qinzhou Power Plant has commenced operations following the completion of a 168-hour trial run, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

Operated by subsidiary SDIC Qinzhou No. 2 Power Generation, the 660,000-kilowatt unit has an annual designed power generation capacity of 3.3 billion kilowatt-hours and a heating capacity of 800 tons per hour.

The facility is equipped with dust removal, desulfurization, and denitrification systems.

Shares in the power producer rose 1% during morning trading on Tuesday.

Samsung Heavy Industries (KRX:010140) secured a 444.5 billion won contract to build two container ships for an unnamed African buyer, according to a filing with the Korean bourse on Monday.The contract is valid from Aug. 28, 2026, to Dec. 27, 2028.
