Scottie Resources to Raise Up to CA$10 Million From a Brokered Private Placement

Scottie Resources (SCOT.V) said it will raise up to CA$10 million in a brokered private placement of shares, it said Thursday.

The company will place up to 3.45-million shares priced at CA$2.90 apiece. It granted agents an over-allotment option of 689,655 additional shares for about CA$2 million.

Proceeds will be used for working capital and general corporate needs, it said.

Scottie Resources also amended the size of the non-brokered private placement announced on Sept. 11, to CA$17 million from CA$27 million. The offering and the non-brokered offering, together, are expected to provide proceeds of up to CA$27 million, or up to CA$29 million if the agents' option is exercised in full, it said.

Shares of the company closed down CA$0.01, or 0.3%, to CA$3.18 on Wednesday on the TSX Venture Exchange.

Kinross Gold Lowers 2026, 2027 Gold Production Outlook

Kinross Gold (K.TO) after trade Wednesday lowered its 2026 and 2027 production outlook, now expecting annual attributable production of about 1.84 million to 1.86 million gold equivalent ounces, 2% to 3% under its prior targets.The change to the guidance is mainly due to extreme weather and operational challenges at two smaller mines, La Coipa and Round Mountain, the company said, adding that it expects to produce about 425,000 gold equivalent ounces in the third quarter.The company also said it now expects production cost of sales for 2026 of about $1,420 to $1,460 per gold equivalent ounce sold and all-in sustaining costs of about $1,850 to $1,900 per ounce sold."Reflecting its strong cash flow outlook and balance sheet strength, Kinross is increasing its return of capital target from 40% to 50% of free cash flow to shareholders for 2026," it added.
