Saudi Arabia's construction cost index increased 2.4% year over year in April, following a 2% rise in the previous month, according to data from the General Authority for Statistics released Thursday.
The latest increase was largely attributed to higher residential building costs and non-residential construction expenses.
On a monthly basis, construction costs in the kingdom were 0.5% higher, against the prior 0.6% increase.
