Resonac Estimates 0.085 Proportion of Distributed Assets for Crasus Chemical Spin-off

By

Resonac (TYO:4004) has estimated the proportion of distributed assets relating to the in-kind dividend in connection with the partial spin-off of its wholly owned petrochemical subsidiary, Crasus Chemical, at 0.085.

This proportion is necessary for calculating the respective tax bases of Resonac's common stock and the Crasus Chemical shares distributed as an in-kind dividend, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.

The figure is an estimate as of two weeks before the effective date of the in-kind dividend and will be finally determined upon that effective date.

Resonac will disclose the final estimate by Sept. 28, the business day immediately preceding the scheduled listing date of Crasus Chemical Shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange effective Oct. 1.

The final confirmed proportion will be provided in a notice scheduled to be sent in early November to shareholders of record as of Sept. 30.
