Ramelius Resources (ASX:RMS) said the Western Australian Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has determined the Roe Project does not require formal environmental assessment, allowing it to proceed through the standard part five works approval and licensing process under the Environmental Protection Act, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The decision aligns the Roe development with the approved Rebecca Project and enables a streamlined regulatory pathway for the combined Rebecca-Roe Project in the Western Australian Goldfields, per the filing.
The company confirmed early works will begin in late 2026 following environmental approval certainty, supporting an accelerated timeline and its five-year growth strategy, the filing added.
