Qingdao Huicheng Environmental Technology Flags Potential Early Redemption of Convertible Bonds

Qingdao Huicheng Environmental Technology (SHE:300779) flagged the potential early redemption of its convertible bonds, according to a Thursday disclosure to the Shenzhen bourse.

The closing price of the company's stock for 10 straight trading days from Aug. 27 to Sept. 9 has traded at 13.43 yuan, which is 130% of the current conversion price of 10.33 yuan.

Should the stock stay above 13.43 yuan for at least 15 out of 30 days, Huicheng Environmental will be entitled to invoke the conditional redemption clause, which will give the right to redeem all or part of the uncoverted bonds at face value plus interest.

The issuer will have the option to redeem the bonds ahead of maturity at any time on or after Oct. 7, 2029, subject to various conditions.Proceeds from the offering will be used to buy back the company's outstanding 2028 bonds and for general corporate expenditures.Settlement is expected by Sept. 16.
