Power Corporation of Canada's Subsidiary to Invest More than CA$10 Billion into Infrastructure Companies

By

Power Sustainable, a subsidiary of Power Corporation of Canada (POW.TO), plans to invest and mobilize more than CA$10 billion into projects and companies in the country over the next five years, it said Thursday.

The firm's plan is based on opportunities that are already being developed and evaluated by its team across its infrastructure equity, infrastructure credit, clean energy and industrials private equity, and agri-food private equity strategies, it said.

Power Sustainable said it sees opportunities in power, connectivity, waste management, industrials, transportation and logistics, food systems and aviation-related infrastructure.

"We can invest across the capital structure - by developing and owning infrastructure, providing tailored financing and backing the businesses that support these essential assets," said Power Sustainable Chief Executive Officer Bruce Heyman. "Just as importantly, we can bring long-term partners alongside us to help bring those opportunities to life."

Power Corporation of Canada's shares were last seen up CA$0.52 at CA$92.79 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
