Planet Ventures (PXI.CN) completed a $100,000 indirect investment in US-based technology company Starcloud through an equity investment in a special purpose vehicle, it said in a statement on Friday.
Starcloud is aiming to make orbital data centers designed to deliver AI computing infrastructure in space, Planet Ventures said. The investment was part of Starcloud's recently announced $250 million Series A extension financing at a reported $2.3 billion post-money valuation, it added.
Planet Ventures chief executive Etienne Moshevich said other investors in the financing included chipmaker Nvidia (NVDA).
