Pharma Foods International Narrows Nine-Month Loss

Pharma Foods International's (TYO:2929) attributable loss narrowed to 1.06 billion yen in the nine months ended April 30 from a loss of 1.12 billion yen a year earlier.

The biotech company's basic loss per share stood at 36.67 yen versus 39.18 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Wednesday.

Net sales rose 3.7% to 48.6 billion yen from 46.8 billion yen in the prior-year period.

The company plans to pay 12.50 yen per share as final dividend.

For the fiscal year ending July 31, the company expects an attributable profit of 1.5 billion yen, basic EPS of 51.65 yen, and net sales of 67 billion yen.

Posco Holdings Reports One Death in Shinansan Line Accident

Posco Holdings (KRX:005490) disclosed a serious industrial accident at its Shinansan Line l, which left one worker dead, according to a Wednesday filing with the Korea Exchange.The worker fell from a height during electrical work preparation in a vertical shaft on Tuesday. The cause of the fall hasn't been identified yet, the filing said.Police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor are investigating the incident, and accident prevention measures are being written to prevent a recurrence, it said.
