Perseverance Metals (PMI.V) has started the summer 2026 drill program at the Lac Gayot project in the James Bay region of Quebec, it said Wednesday.
The project's Venus East Trend will be the primary focus area of this year's program, said the company.
The 2026 program will include, among others, additional drilling of new surface mineralized zones identified through prospecting, added Perseverance Metals.
The company also provided an update on the Voyageur Drill Program, Michigan, and said while the start of drilling has been temporarily delayed, it has now mobilized the rig to site and the testing of its "first, top-priority target" is slated to start this week.
The company's shares last traded July 21, closing at C$0.445 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
