OpenAI introduced a health feature that lets adult US ChatGPT users sync medical records and Apple (AAPL) Health data to track changes and compare results over time.
The feature uses the company's GPT-5.5 Instant and GPT-5.6 Sol models to compare lab results, summarize changes across clinical visits, and explain medical information in plain language, while keeping connected health data excluded from model training and ad targeting.
Users can link accounts from supported hospital networks, primary care providers, and specialized health platforms while retaining control over data-sharing permissions, OpenAI said.
