Onex Reports a Drop in Second-Quarter Earnings

Onex (ONEX.TO) reported second quarter net earnings of $1.71 per share compared with $3.30 per share a year earlier.

The company's board of directors declared a third quarter dividend of C$0.10 per subordinate voting share payable on Oct. 31, to shareholders of record on Oct. 9, the company added Thursday.

The company also released supplemental financial information for Convex Group Limited and said Convex's net income for the three months ended June 30 was $169 million, compared with $276 million a year earlier.

The company's shares closed up C$0.16 to C$115.02 Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

CAE's Fiscal Q1 Adjusted Earnings Remain Unchanged; Revenue Rises; Fiscal 2027 Outlook Kept

CAE (CAE.TO) after trade Wednesday reported fiscal first-quarter adjusted earnings per share of C$0.26, unchanged from a year ago.Analysts polled by FactSet expected C$0.23.Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 rose to C$1.17 billion from C$1.10 billion a year earlier.Analysts polled by FactSet expected C$1.13 billion.The company said its fiscal 2027 outlook remains unchanged. It continues to expect low-single-digit percentage revenue growth and adjusted EPS of C$1.21 to C$1.28.
