Onex (ONEX.TO), through the Onex Partners Opportunities Fund, has agreed to acquire AirSprint, Canada's largest fractional jet operator, alongside TriWest Capital Partners and other co-investors for an undisclosed amount.
The airline's founder and board chair Judson Macor, chief executive James Elian and certain of its shareholders will remain investors following the transaction's close, which is expected in the third quarter of this year.
Headquartered in Calgary with offices in Toronto and Montreal, AirSprint operates the largest fractional fleet of private aircraft in Canada. The investment will support its next phase of growth.
