OGE Energy's Growth Inflection Begins, Further Upside Backed by Capital Catalysts, RBC Says

By

OGE Energy's (OGE) growth inflection is starting, with upside potential extending through 2030 amid solid catalysts, RBC Capital Markets said in a Wednesday note.

The company has three sources of capital upside in the near term such as the $1.5 billion Seminole-to-Shreveport transmission line project, for which it expects to receive a notice to construct in Q4, the brokerage said.

According to RBC, the other catalysts are multiple generation pre-approval filings slated by year-end and the Southwest Power Pool's 2026 integrated transmission planning final report due in September.

The capital catalysts should help drive earnings per share growth and guidance upgrades, the investment firm said. RBC estimates a $0.45 upside to the Street's 2030 EPS consensus for OGE.

RBC upgraded OGE Energy to outperform from sector perform, with a higher price target of $54 from $50 previously.
