Octopus (APAC) Narrows Nine-Month Loss

Octopus (APAC) (SGX:43A) narrowed its loss in the nine months ended March 31 by 30% to SG$1.5 million from SG$2.1 million a year earlier, according to a Sunday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Loss per share came in at SG$0.0014 compared with SG$0.0032 in the year-ago period.

The food and beverage company posted a revenue of SG$73.1 million after posting a nil revenue in the prior year period.

Minieye Technology to Acquire 50% Stake in Xi'an Tongtu Technology in 25 Million Yuan Deal

Minieye Technology (HKG:2431) agreed to acquire a 50% stake in Xi'an Tongtu Technology in a cash plus equity deal valued at 25 million yuan, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.The firm said it will settle payment to ZTO Express by issuing 20 million yuan worth of shares at HK$9.81 each and 5 million yuan in cash.The 2.3 million H shares to be granted under the deal represent 0.57% of the company's issued share capital and 0.56% as enlarged by the sale.Xi'an Tongtu Technology operates in the unmanned vehicle operations business and the acquisition offers an opportunity for Minieye to integrate the target's technology for its own driverless vehicle efforts, the firm said.Xi'an Tongtu Technology will serve as a subsidiary of Minieye following the purchase.Minieye shares were up nearly 5% in late morning trade Monday.

Rubicon Research's Fiscal Q4 Consolidated Profit Soars; Shares Jump 12%

Rubicon Research's (NSE:RUBICON, BOM:544578) attributable consolidated profit jumped to 767.9 million Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter, from 362.5 million rupees a year ago, according to an Indian bourse filing on Friday.Shares of the company jumped 12% in Monday's trade.Earnings per share in the quarter ended March 31 increased to 4.60 rupees from 2.34 rupees a year earlier.Revenue from operations in fiscal Q4 increased year on year to 5.14 billion rupees from 3.58 billion rupees.The company declared a final dividend of 1.50 rupees per share for the financial year ended March 31, the filing said.

Xiamen Jihong Backs Two Serving Directors in Regulatory Probe

Xiamen Jihong (SHE:002803, HKG:2603) said it did not see any reason to doubt the integrity of two of its executive directors after receiving warning letters from a regional bureau of the China Securities Regulatory Commission over the non-disclosure of certain related-party transactions, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.The letters were sent to the company, as well as serving directors Zhuang Hao and Lu Tashan and former executive director Wang Yapeng and board secretary Zhang Luping.The firm said the non-disclosure pertained to a payment of 156 million yuan to AJT Printing and Packing FZ-LLC.In its regulatory action, the CSRC Xiamen Regulatory Bureau imposed supervisory and administrative measures on the company requiring it to rectify the situation.Xiamen Jihong said the violations were primarily caused by its own negligence and that its board, having reviewed the notice, did not doubt the integrity and competence of Zhuang and Lu who will continue serving as executive directors.
