NZX Midday Sector Update: Health Technology Rises, Commercial Services Tank

Health technology stocks gained the most on New Zealand's Exchange, rising nearly 6% by midday Tuesday.

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare (NZE:FPH, ASX:FPH) shares climbed almost 7% in recent trade.

The company reported Tuesday fiscal 2026 underlying earnings of NZ$0.793 per share, up from NZ$0.639 a year earlier.

Meanwhile, the commercial services sector declined past 1%.

PGG Wrightson (NZE:PGW) was down past 3% in recent trade.

Adveritas (ASX:AV1) said its annualized recurring revenue (ARR) reached AU$16.3 million within the first two months of the June quarter, an increase of 8% from AU$15.08 million in around two months from March 31, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.The majority of new ARR added in the quarter to date has been derived from new US-based organizations outside of its established sports betting and online gaming segments, per the filing.It said 652 sign-ups were registered with the TrafficGuard small and mid-sized enterprise self-serve platform to date since its launch on April 1, and 54 billable accounts were now active as paying subscribers. 120 advertisers were on active trial under the 30-day free trial period.Its shares rose 2% in recent trading on Tuesday.

CanSino Biologics Begins Trials of Broad Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine

CanSino Biologics (HKG:6185, SHA:688185) initiated a phase 1/2 trial of its 24-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, a broad-spectrum shot designed to prevent infections caused by 24 pneumococcal serotypes, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.The trial will evaluate the vaccine in subjects aged two months and older for the prevention of pneumococcal infections, which can cause diseases such as pneumonia and meningitis.The new product could expand coverage beyond the company's existing 13-valent pneumococcal vaccine, which was approved in China in June 2025.The firm said there were currently no 24-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccines available on the global market.
