NTPC Green Energy (NSE:NTPCGREEN, BOM:544289) said its wholly owned subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy, will develop a 250 MW solar power project integrated with a battery energy storage system (BESS) at Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh, India, according to a Tuesday filing on Indian bourses.
The project will be set up on vacant defense land, the company said.
Power generated from the facility will be supplied to defense establishments across Uttar Pradesh.
