Norway produced an average of 1.98 million barrels of oil, natural gas liquids and condensate in July, the Norwegian Offshore Directorate said in its monthly update on Thursday, down 9.1% from 2.17 mmbbls a year earlier.
Gas sales totaled 10.9 million standard cubic meters, up 0.9 million cubic meters from June. Average daily liquids production in July was 1.78 mmbbls of oil, 183,000 barrels of NGL and 17,000 barrels of condensate.
Total hydrocarbons production fell short of a forecast for July by 2.5% while crude oil output alone was 2.1% lower than forecast. Versus July 2025, hydrocarbons output was down 1.5%, with oil output down 9.9% year on year but gas production up 6.3%.
Oil production will remain below year-ago levels for the remainder of the year, according to the directorate's forecast, while gas output will roughly track H2 2025 levels, after potentially exceeding them in September.
