Mitsubishi's Attributable Profit Jumps 47% in Fiscal Q1

Mitsubishi (TYO:8058) posted a 47% year-over-year growth in attributable profit for the fiscal first quarter to 298.5 billion yen from 203.1 billion yen.

Attributable profit per share was 81.53 yen, compared with 51.59 yen a year earlier, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.

Revenue rose 23% to 5.181 trillion yen from 4.219 trillion yen for the three months ended June 30.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 1.100 trillion yen and attributable profit per share of 300.42 yen.

The company plans to pay interim and year-end dividends of 62 and 63 yen per share, respectively, for the current year, which are higher from the year-ago period.

Shares of the company fell more than 1% in recent trade.
