Metro (MRU.TO) has reached an an agreement in principle with the union representing striking employees in Laval, Quebec, the company said on Thursday.
The employees, who have been on strike since March 30, work at the produce distribution center in Laval, transportation and head office, a statement said.
The agreement in principle will be recommended by the union's bargaining committee, and submitted to the employees for a ratification vote on Sept. 24.
Metro shares were last seen up CA$0.335 to CA$91.735, on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
