Metro CEO Eric La Fleche to Retire, Marc Giroux Appointed New CEO

Metro (MRU.TO) president and chief executive Eric La Fleche will retire at the end of the 2026 fiscal year, after leading the company for more than 18 years, the company said on Tuesday.

Chief operating officer Marc Giroux will succeed him as president and chief executive from Sept. 27.

La Fleche will chair the board of directors and current chair, Pierre Boivin, will be appointed vice chairman and lead director, effective Sept. 27.

Metro shares were last seen down $0.79, to $87.70, on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
