Metals Exploration Lands $27 Million Equipment Loan for La India Gold Project in Nicaragua

Metals Exploration plc (MTL.L) said Friday it secured a $27 million equipment loan for its La India gold project in Nicaragua from a local bank.

The gold producer made an initial drawdown of $20.2 million from the five-year facility, with the remaining to be drawn once additional equipment arrives.

The company maintained its target of first gold production at the project in December.
