Meta Platforms (META) said Monday it expanded Instagram for TV to Samsung Smart TVs in the US, making the app available across the majority of connected TV devices in the country.
The company said it is testing new features to enhance shared viewing, including interest-based channels, Stories on TV, support for horizontal video and the ability to cast Reels from mobile devices.
Meta said Reel casting is currently available on Google TV and Amazon Fire TV devices, allowing users to send Reels, including videos from their Saved tab, from a phone to a television.
